manager Flat fee MLS is a service that has become increasingly popular with FSBO (for sale by owner) sellers. There are a number of different reasons why this is the case, but the biggest reason is exposure.
The multiple listing service is the database that real estate agents use when they are looking for properties for their buyers. It’s also the service that listing agents offer the sellers working with them so that buyers will be aware that their property is on the market.
Flat fee MLS allows FSBO sellers – sellers who have ruled out using a listing agent because of the expense of a commission – to benefit from the exposure that the multiple listing service gives.
Some of this exposure is that given to buyers’ agents, but it also opens up the doors to online listings – it makes it easier for buyers who are working on their own to find a home to learn about a house and its features.
With MLS exposure, sellers can be sure that more people are aware that their home is available. Simply put, that helps to move a home from the market sooner by increasing interest in the property. Who wouldn’t benefit from that?
