Flat fee MLS gives FSBO sellers the control that they’ve been looking for when it comes to selling on their own.
Rather than relying on someone else to sell your home for you, you’re able to be in charge with flat fee MLS – but you won’t have to worry about not having the tools that you need to market your home. More importantly, when you sell with flat fee MLS, you’ll find that you’re going to have the information that you need to negotiate effectively.
Flat fee brokers will give you the information that you need to help with the negotiation process. You’ll get the details you need about which points you should be standing firm on, and which things you might want to let go of. You’ll be better able to focus on what’s really important rather than the trivial stuff – in part because you’ll get the details about which stuff is the important stuff and which stuff really is trivial.
Would you want to jeopardize the sale of your home just because you were unwilling to give a bit when the buyer wanted to compromise? Likewise, would you want to compromise on something only to find out later that, well, you should have held out because the buyer took advantage of you? Those things happen to some FSBO sellers but they are far less common for those who sell with flat fee MLS.
